Is bitumen chemical waste?

Yes, bitumen is classified as chemical and hazardous waste. This means that it must be collected and processed separately. Bitumen is also called roofing felt and is a material used for covering roofs. Also special glue and sealant can be bituminous. It is tar-containing and also contains some other hazardous substances, such as ZZS (PAH components).
